VR productions: new realities, new production methods and new rules.
Virtual reality is creating new, fantastic spaces and worlds, but in order to make them work for users, creative rules must be observed. The young field of immersive design explores precisely these rules: User Experience (UX) for virtual identities, facilitating transfer. A virtual image of the world can be of help in this: Volumetric studios and new cameras enable recording directly in 3D. This makes productions significantly more realistic and faster, and users enter VR and AR environments which are no longer mere computer simulations. How can VR environments be designed? What rules and UX best practices are there for immersive experiences? How does a volumetric studio work, and what is it used for? Which new opportunities arise for media creators?
