Angela Schwarz, Professorin für Neuere und Neueste Geschichte an der Universität Siegen, befasst sich seit 2000 mit dem Thema Geschichte in Computer- und Videospielen. Sie hat seitdem zu vielfältigen Aspekten des Themenfeldes geforscht und publiziert, u.a. den Sammelband "Wollten Sie auch immer schon einmal pestverseuchte Kühe auf Ihre Gegner werfen? Eine fachwissenschaftliche Annäherung an Geschichte im Computerspiel" (2. Aufl. 2012) veröffentlicht. Demnächst erscheint ihre Monographie zu den Spielen und den Chancen und Grenzen für historisches Lernen.

Angela Schwarz, professor for early modern and modern history at the University of Siegen, has been dealing with the topic of history in computer and video games since 2000. Since then, she has researched and published on various aspects of the subject area, including the anthology “Have you ever also wanted to throw pest-infested cows at your enemy? A scientific approach to history in computer games” (in German, 2nd edition, 2012). Her monograph on games and the opportunities and limits for historic learning will be published soon.
