Living in the future: narratives shape our world

Stories about tech are usually dystopias featuring machines taking over control and subjugating the human race. Our expectations for the future are coined by dark sci-fi stories, alternative narratives are few and far between. But precisely when it comes to technology, we must visualise the unknown in order to be able to have an exchange about it. It is the only way to promote important vital accords within our society. This necessitates a diverse attitude and differing perspectives on developments to prevent suffering from false notions and leaving parties behind. Which power can narratives develop and how are they shaped? How do they shape our media world? How can we adapt narratives to our reality, and what kind of strength can they develop for our future? Which alternative narratives exist, and how can they be made more prominent?
